A Little Paint And This Will Be Like New

Posted by on Jun 11, 2015 in Decorating | 5 comments

I found this little treasure out by the trash last week. The white shelving unit that is. It was a little banged up, and a little-one had taken a crayon to it, but after I scrubbed it and did some touch-up-paint it was like new. This white square shelf is actually the exact same as the one Chris and I had in our bedroom, in Hawaii. But this time it was free (score)! They usually run around $50. I bought the striped drawers at Target, and we keep Otto’s leash and a pair of his and her flip-flops in the top right box, the rest are empty (for now).

Searching For An Area Rug

Posted by on Apr 27, 2015 in Decorating | 2 comments

First off I wold like to say that I love every bit of how this front-hall is decorated. I have started  to lean more towards natural wood furniture and less towards painted furniture (unless it’s kitchen cupboards, I’m still into white cabinets). Second,  Chris and I are in pursuit of a new area-rug for our new place. We stopped by TJ Maxx this past weekend but now such luck. We are not exactly sure what we are looking for, but we definitely know what we don’t like. Do you ever feel that way? Here are a few rugs I found online, that I thought were kind of cool…

Bright Swinging Beach Chair

Posted by on Feb 19, 2015 in Decorating | 0 comments

Ok, this colorful swinging chair might be too much for the landlocked states to handle, but can’t you just picture it in your beach home! Take a look-see at these other fun chairs as well…

You can find more info on this unique chair here.

This one comes made with different materials with different colors too.

This one I LOVE,  it’s kind of modern, kind of retro. I wonder if it is comfortable to sit in?

Do you or anyone you know have a hanging chair? My mom has a really neat one from Pier1, and it’s really cool because it can be used for both inside or outdoors. I think it would be a bit much to put one in Chris and my tiny apartment! Who knows though maybe one day when we move…
