Baked Apples

Baking apples is a great way to get into the holiday mood, and it makes the entire house smell glorious. Not to mention its pretty easy, but kind of time-consuming if you are slow at peeling apples.

You will need:

1 bag of small red apples of 5 large red apples (I don’t know the exact kind. I just know I always use red, ya that’s how I roll)

1/2 orange juice

2 packets of cinnamon spice instant oatmeal (I liked the Trader Joe’s brand when I was living near one)

1/4 cup brown sugar

Last box left after we moved (tear).

Preheat oven to 350º

Peel and core all apples. Cut into slices. Place apple slices in baker or pot that has a lid. Pour orange juice all over apples, then sprinkle the 2 packets of oatmeal all over apples. Lastly sprinkle brown sugar on top of the oatmeal. Place lid on top of baker or pot. Cook for 1 hour or until apples are soft.

I cook mine the Pampered Chef baker.
